Secure Uphold Login Access

To log in to your Uphold account, visit uphold.com and click 'Log In' in the top right corner. Enter your registered email address and password. If you have two-factor authentication enabled (highly recommended), you'll need to enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app or SMS. For enhanced security, always ensure you're on the official Uphold website (look for the green padlock in your browser's address bar) and never enter your credentials through links in emails or messages.

If you've forgotten your password, click 'Forgot Password' on the login page. Enter your registered email address and Uphold will send you a secure password reset link. Follow the instructions in the email to create a new password. Make sure your new password is strong (at least 8 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols) and unique to your Uphold account. If you don't receive the reset email within 10 minutes, check your spam folder or contact Uphold support.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. After logging in, go to Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication. You can choose between SMS authentication or an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy. We strongly recommend using an authenticator app as it's more secure than SMS. Follow the setup instructions to scan the QR code with your chosen app, then enter the verification code to complete the setup.

Uphold continuously monitors account activity for suspicious behavior. If unusual login patterns are detected (such as access from a new device or unusual location), you'll receive an immediate email notification. The account may be temporarily restricted until identity verification is completed. You can verify your identity by responding to the security email or contacting customer support. Always report any unauthorized access attempts immediately through official Uphold support channels.

Yes, the Uphold mobile app supports biometric authentication on compatible devices. After downloading the app and completing your initial login with email/password, you can enable Touch ID, Face ID, or fingerprint authentication in the app settings. This provides convenient and secure access to your account. However, you'll still need your traditional login credentials for the web platform and as a backup authentication method.

Accounts may be temporarily locked due to multiple unsuccessful login attempts, suspicious activity, or security protocol triggers. This is a protective measure to prevent unauthorized access. To unlock your account, wait 30 minutes before attempting to log in again, or click 'Account Locked?' on the login page to initiate immediate account recovery. You may need to verify your identity through email verification or by contacting customer support with proper identification documents.
